Tacoma Real Estate

I grew up not too far from Tacoma, in Gig Harbor, and I’ve always called this state my home. I love spending time in the city, I know the ins and outs of the market, and I’ve helped many folks buy and sell their homes here. Give me a call and let me show you around!

Living in Tacoma

The city of Tacoma, Washington is the largest in Pierce County, and the third largest in Washington state. With a population of just over 200,000, Tacoma has all the advantages of a larger, modern city, but with the community feel of a smaller town. Tacoma is an ideal location where the “best of both worlds” can be found.

Tacoma is known for its museums, with the Tacoma Art Museum, the Museum of Glass, the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, the Washington State History Museum, and LeMay: America’s Car Museum all making their home in the downtown neighborhood. For nature and animal lovers, Tacoma also offers Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium and plenty of trails and parks for outdoor exploration.

If you’re looking for a night on the town, or just a great place to garb a bite to eat, Tacoma offers plenty of that, too! From tacos to brunch to fine dining, Tacoma has it all. Try Dirty Oscar’s Annex on 6th Ave for cocktails and New American bites as featured on the Food Network. Or Hilltop neighborhood’s Frisko Freeze, the iconic hometown favorite burger joint established in 1950.

Whatever you’re looking for in a hometown, Tacoma has it all, and I’d love to show you around!

If you are thinking of moving to Tacoma, I’m the first and last person you’ll need to call! As your Tacoma Real Estate Agent, my passion is helping you achieve your real estate dreams by helping you find your ideal home, or sell your property so you can move on to your next adventure. Real Estate gets very competitive here, so you absolutely need a Tacoma REALTOR® who knows the business and truly wants you to succeed in your corner.

Whether you’re a first time home buyer, looking to relocate, or putting your house on the market to sell, I’ve got you covered!

A Little Local History

Did you know that Tacoma was originally called Commencement City?

In 1872 by former US Army general Morton Matthew McCarver  gave the city its first name – Commencement City. At the time, the city consisted of a lumber mill, two stores, a saloon, a hotel, a jail, a blacksmith, and approximately 100 citizens.

The following year, Commencement Bay was chosen as the terminus for the Northern Pacific Railway’s Prairie Line, connecting the northern transcontinental railroad lines between Lake Superior and Puget Sound. The city’s history with railroads can still be seen today, as sections of those original tracks are found in various locations downtown, including the Tacoma campus of the University of Washington.

With a rich history in a modern setting, Tacoma offers a truly unique experience, whether you’re just visiting or moving here for life! Ready to move to Tacoma? Give me, your Tacoma REALTOR®, a call today!
